Make a Paper Gift Box Flower
Now you can really dress up a gift without having to spend several dollars on a fancy decoration. In fact, I think these are prettier than the ones you buy. You may like it so much that you make some for home decorating. Add a small glass votive candle holder to the center and it is a beautiful table topper. So many ways you can use them. The instructions are simple, it just takes a few minutes to cut out the petals.
You’ll need some thick paper in the shades you want your flower to be. Typically, you’ll want three colors – 1 for the base and base petals, and two different shades of the same color for the top. That helps to give it some depth and interesting contrast.
Supplies:
- Thick paper in 3 colors
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
That’s it! Start by drawing the outline of a petal shape, and they should get gradually smaller as you get closer to the top. Cut a round base to glue the petals to, and start creating! It’s that simple. Here is the whole project with photos showing every step.
