Denim has always been a popular fabric not just for clothing but also for accessories. It has a timeless look that doesn’t date it and it is so durable that it lasts almost forever. Denim purses are no different. They’re cute, go with everything, and easy to take care of. All you have to do is throw them in the laundry when dirty.

This project takes a pair of jeans or jean shorts, cuts off the legs and turns them into a bag. You can make it your own with different fabrics for the handles and a sash through the belt loops.

There is some sewing involved, mostly by machine but also by hand to sew in a lining.
