DIY Outdoor Wooden Planters
Outdoor wooden planters are a beautiful way to decorate the outside of your home. Use them for your large pots of blooming flowers to add color to your entryways or to line your driveway. Put a small tree or shrub if you’re want something you don’t have to change out often. Any type of wood that’s been weather-treated will work. Some popular choices are cedar, pine, and poplar. You can leave them rustic and weathered or paint them.
There are two sets of plans here. One is the set provided by CentsationalGirl on her blog showing the beautiful white, criss-crossed pattern planters she and her husband made. I think they’re elegant.
She used and modified the plans from AnaWhite, who made the cedar planters. Ana estimates the cost of her cedar planters to come in under $20. At that price you may want to make several.
Ana’s plans and instructions can be found here: AnaWhite.
Instructions for the large white planters can be found at CentsationalGirl.
