[Video] DIY Faux Sheepskin Pelt
This is such an easy project for the glam effect it produces. Sheepskin is not just soft to touch, but it is also very luxurious looking. When done well, sheepskin makes an awesome pelt accessory, and even upholstery in a small area. I saw a cane chair spray painted gold, the seat upholstered in one fabric and the back upholstered with sheepskin. It looked awesome! So this is sort of the same idea, only you can drape your pelt wherever you’d like.
All you need is a medium size piece of sheepskin, a pair of scissors, and a pencil. As you’ll see in the video, fold the sheepskin in half, wrong side out, and then draw curvy lines to give an interesting shape. Cut along your lines, and then turn the pelt over. Pull out the strands of “fur” so that it masks the cut edges, and drape!
