DIY Cherry Blossom Painting

I love this project for the entire family.  My vision is to have each person in the family paint their own version and showcase the finished projects on one wall.  The instructions calls for poster board but canvas would make this DIY cherry blosom painting project pop out.  Thanks Alpha Mom for a sweet idea!

Pink blossoms will soon appear on trees, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival starts on March 20. In 1912 the city of Tokyo, Japan, gave Washington, D.C., a beautiful gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees. This year celebrates the 100th anniversary of that gift.
