DIY Bottle and Pallet Vase
This is a cute, quick afternoon project that you can find a lot of different uses for. The original project and plans call for regular pine or any type of white wood to be used, but I really like the way it looks here with pallet wood instead.
It’s an interesting combination, old wood and glass for a vase. Even more, a separate vase for individual flowers. It’s a unique way to showcase beautiful flowers by spreading them out instead of bunching them up together.
I have to admit, I can also picture this with the wood painted, possibly in two colors, and the bottles decorated with nail polish dots or another type of whimsical paint pattern to contrast with the painted wood. There are a lot of possibilities for this project, including the type of bottles you use and how tall you build the wooden support.
It will cost under $10 for the materials, and even less if you use pallet wood you already have on hand. You should be able to complete it in under an hour.
Supplies you will need:
- 1 x 6 x 8 Pine or Whitewood Board
- 1 3/8″ Ryobi Forstner Bit
- Drill
- Brad Nailer
- Wood Glue
- 8 Soda Bottles – the ones in the photo are Jarritos from Target
