Divine Amaretto Chocolate Chip Cookies DIY
Here is a recipe for unique cookie #2 this holiday season. DIY amaretto chocolate chip cookies sound fantastic. The recipe uses ice cream to create a sandwich but the cookies are definitely tasty all on their own. Thanks to Giada De Laurentiis and Cooking Channel for the different and yummy idea.
ingredients
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 3/4 teaspoon pure almond extract
- 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup whole almonds, toasted and chopped
- 3 pints vanilla ice cream, softened slightly
- 1/3 cup amaretto liqueur
