Clever Homemade Fire Starters DIY

This DIY fire starter project is a great idea.  If you ever had trouble getting a fire going this will make that task much easier.  No more wasted matches or constantly flicking a lighter.  This idea uses scented or unscented candle wax.  Thanks to Sugar & Soul for the useful idea.

Have you ever wondered what to do with your old wax tarts after you’ve used up all the fragrance? Don’t throw them out, use them to make Fire Starters. Ever since I started working at Yankee Candle back in 2008, their fire starters have always found their way under the tree for my father and grandfather. This is the first year I haven’t worked at Yankee and thought I would try my hand at making my own, especially because I have a ridiculous amount of tarts lying around.

These are so easy to make and they’ll save the “fire keeper” in your life a lot time and energy.
