A Cool Chalkboard From A Folding Chair DIY

Sometimes a sentence hits me where I think, “I would never put those words together in a sentence.”  The idea of making a folding chair into a sidewalk chalkboard is one that comes to mind.  This DIY project is a smart idea.  The sign can be placed on your front porch with whatever message you would like to share.  Thanks to Knick of Time for the fun idea.

Today, I want to show you one of my favorite kinds of projects.  I seek out broken things at yard sales, thrift stores and auctions, because I get a real kick out of taking something broken and turning it into something usable again.

You may recall that last fall I bought 35+ antique wooden folding chairs at an auction.  I sold all of them that were still in good condition and painted those that had chipped wood and sold them as well.
