7 Creative Ways to Paint and Use Tin Cans
The next time you open a tin can and empty it, think twice before throwing it in the trash. Here are some terrific ideas for ways to paint cans and repurposing them. You’ll never look at a can the same way again because all you’ll be able to think about is what cute project you can turn it into!
Here are 7 of my favorite ways to paint cans, and ideas for what to do with them.
1. Painted and Hand Decorated
If you notice, the rims of these cans are nice and smooth. That’s because the cans are the type that you pull the ring to get the top off. It’s pretty nice because it doesn’t leave any jagged edges. They were painted with a coat of acrylic paint first, and then the design was painted on top.
You can find the tutorial at Thinly Spread.
2. Color Blocking
These may be my favorite of all. The color blocking adds to the visual appeal, and I love the use of gold paint. The instructions are found at The Crafted Sparrow.
