10 Creative Uses for Chicken Wire
Chicken wire can be handy for so many things. I’m betting that you’ve never thought to use it for these projects we’ve listed here for you. Once you’ve seen these you will never look at chicken wire the same way again!
1. Picture Frame with Chicken Wire to Keep Jewelry
This is a cute way to keep your jewelry organized, neat, and easy to see. It’s easy to find old frames to spray paint. You could even paint the frame and the wire both. Gold would look awesome.
Supplies needed:
- Frame
- Chicken wire or small gauge wire
- Wire cutters
- Staple gun
- Small S hooks to hang things from
Instructions:
Cut the wire with the wire cutters so that you have plenty of overlap to staple it to the back of the frame. Staple all around on the back side, and you’re done!

2. Vintage-Look Basket
This basket was inspired from vintage locker baskets. Deanna from Deannario liked the look so much that she took a brand new canvas basket, cut the canvas off, and then attached the chicken wire to the frame. I don’t think I’d do that with a new basket, but rather with a basket that was damaged or stained.
